More about me

I graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 1994 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). In 2000, I moved from Zimbabwe to the United Kingdom and commenced my 9 years of specialist training. During my time as a specialist registrar in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine (GIM) I worked at Princess Margret and The Great Western Hospitals in Wiltshire, Homerton and The Royal London Hospitals in East London, Ysbyty Gwynedd in North Wales, Singleton and Morriston Hospitals in South Wales, and finally University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

Membership of the Royal college of Physician (UK) was granted in 2002 and Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training, (GIM and Gastroenterology) in 2009.

For 3 years, I practiced as Gastroenterologist, including hepatology and General Physician in the UK (Cardiff, Royal United Bath, Ysbyty Gwynedd and Edinburgh infirmary hospitals) before moving to Toowoomba with my family. In 2013 after a year of peer review I was granted Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and have been providing gastroenterology and hepatology services in both the public and private sector in Toowoomba to date. I remain an active member of The British Society of Gastroenterologists, The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopist, and a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

My background and extensive international experiences have enriched my practice, moulding me to be a compassionate, mature physician with appreciation of patients’ various cultures, beliefs and social circumstances. My philosophy of practice is provision of patient centred care through collaboration with primary physicians, other specialists, and allied health professionals.
